The broadest livestock claim in the ring, and it is over the state line in Pearl River County. Large animal services for “horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs”, and the trucks are “fully stocked with all of the equipment and diagnostic tools needed to care for horses and livestock.” This is the one practice on the page that covers every species the book asks about.

The hardest lane to fill honestly. A practice is in here only if its own site names chickens, goats or both. “Exotics” alone does not count, and neither does a photo of a hen.
Says it treats “small animals, sheep and goats”, and lists acupuncture for “horses, dogs, cats, sheep and goats”. Goats twice, in writing, on their own site. No chickens named anywhere on it, and no farm-call claim — you haul in.

CHICKENS, SPECIFICALLY — NONE
We read all fourteen sites looking for a chicken, a hen, a bird, a flock, the word poultry — anything. Not one practice on this ring puts it in writing. Two of them say goats and say it plainly, which is why the lane is not empty; the poultry half of it is. If you keep a backyard flock in Covington or Chalmette, this book has no name for you yet, and we would rather tell you that than hand you a small-animal clinic and let you find out in the parking lot.
Farm call
They come to you, and their own site says so. Where a site puts a limit on it — a mileage ring, a client-only rule, a preference for hauling in — the limit gets printed with the listing instead of being smoothed over. Neither of these two prints one, so neither carries the mark.
The whole practice is the farm call: “Comprehensive, mobile equine care delivered directly to your farm.” The ambulatory line is stated the same way — “Dedicated ambulatory services supporting horses across our local equine community.” They do not publish a mileage ring or a fence around “local”, so ask on the first call where they will drive.

That keeps them out of all four lanes above, and it is not a mark against a single one of them — a town clinic that never pretended to be a cow vet is exactly what it says it is. Two of the seven run to eleven at night, which is the longest daylight in the ring and worth knowing. In town
Dogs, cats and whatever else walks in the door. Alphabetical, same as everywhere else — we don't rank anybody, and there is nothing on this page for sale.
A small-animal clinic east of Hammond. Nothing on the site about livestock, farm calls or after hours. Read the Wednesday and the lunch hour before you drive out there — they are the two that catch people.

Down the bayou in Thibodaux, and the only clinic in this seven that says anything at all about the middle of the night — the hours line ends “After hours for emergencies only”. No hours are attached to that and no species beyond the ones that walk in, so it is not an overnight listing and it is not in the lantern. It is a number worth having if you are down that way.

One of the two that run late: “Our emergency veterinary care clinic is staffed by highly experienced members of our veterinary team providing emergency care from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM.” Sixteen hours a day is a long door, and it still shuts at eleven — if it is midnight, one of the three at the top of this page is your call, not this one.

Every name, number, address, hour and overnight claim on this page was read off the practice's own website on 9 August 2026. No Yelp, no map cards, no directory scrapes. Where a practice does not publish a thing — Deep South's hours, Metairie Small Animal's street address — the line says so instead of filling it in.
Lanes are claims, not guesses
A practice is in the large-animal, goat or farm-call lane because its own site says it treats those animals or drives out. East Poplarville says horses and stops, so horses is all we print. Nobody on this ring says chickens, so the poultry half of that lane is empty. That is the whole method.
No status lights, no stars
Hours are quoted, never rendered as “open now” — the day a clinic closes early is exactly the day a status light gets you killed on the drive. Eleven at night is printed as eleven at night, not as “late”. No ratings, no reviews, no sponsored placements, no affiliate links. Order is by lane and species, then alphabetical.
